Evvan Amundson

I have been a full time Tattoo Artist since 2012. I enjoy expressing my art through a multitude of other artistic mediums, such as through drawing, painting and story telling.
When it comes to tattooing, I’ve realized over the years that I didn’t want to specialize in one specific format of tattoo art. With being a Tattoo Artist, I found that delving into many different styles of tattooing can help keep the art exciting and forever changing! Though I do have my favorites! I thoroughly enjoy Neo traditional, Lettering, and anything that allows me to use a wide variety of color. I’ve started to find a love of realism tattooing (both color and black and grey works)

* A little bit about myself and also a bit about what we strive to achieve for our clientele.

Being from South East Alaska, I was raised in a place somewhat separated from the outside world. We do things differently in a lot of ways back home. The long rain filled days throughout the spring, summer and fall; and much shorter days during the winters, always allotted a lot of time to find hobbies.
Back home in Alaska there are numerous talented artists, of all different walks of life, using many different kinds of mediums. Being raised around diverse artists and having some pretty influential (to myself) artists in my own family, I had always had the drive to create. Whether it was trying to learn how to draw better than my older brother, or dreaming about being a wood carver like my Uncle and the many Master Woodcarvers of the local First Peoples tribes.
My introduction to the world of tattooing happened when I was 7 years old. My two friends just happened to have a dad who, at the time, owned the only tattoo shop on the Island. Even though we weren’t allowed in the shop, we inevitably ended up in there. This experience stuck with me throughout the years and inspired me to pursue art.
I have used art as my escapism, to express not only my freedom but also my rebellion. Like many artists trying to establish a career, I’ve always heard “art is not a real job”, but I am living proof that it is. However, I did not get here on my own. If it wasn’t for my family and friends love and support I would not be where I’m at today. Especially my mom’s consistent encouragement, support, and buying me more art supplies than I knew what to do with. I would not the artist I am today without all of them.
Through the years, art has taught me some important lessons. Art is for everyone. Art is limitless. There is no “right way” to create. I’m so grateful I found art, because in it, I found myself.Things that fuel my life outside of Tattooing: Being from Alaska, it would be kind of hard not to have a strong fondness and love for the outdoors! My very first love was the woods and the ocean. I try to spend as much free time as I can outdoors, whether it’s camping, hiking or fishing. I also compete professionally in Kayak Bass Tournaments!
I have an undying love for my family and friends, especially for my beautiful wife. I’m very “family oriented” and take great pride in that!
I am also a massive nerd! I absolutely love video games, table top games, classic horror, sci-fi, and fantasy genres! I love old school cartoons from the 80’s and 90’s. Furthermore, I regularly play Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, like a true nerd.I collect figurines and collectible toys from horror, sci-fi, and pop culture. I collect artwork from many different artists, skateboard decks, and rare antique fishing lures.I’m also very big into Oddities. I have an absolute fascination with skulls and bugs and anything relating to that!
